I lived oversees for a substantial portion of my childhood, and consider myself a well-traveled cosmopolitan who has no trouble adopting a Canadian or European perspective on world events. And about the piece of furrowed-brow concern trolling I have quote-tweeted, let me just say:

It never ends, and it never changes. The impotent, dimwitted anger that is actually a manifestation of weakness and failure in the cultures that produce it. The patronizing, pseudo-sophisticated tut-tutting from people who presume to instruct us. The poorly concealed demand that the American taxpayer perpetually remain the world's daddy while everyone who benefits from our largesse gets to act out like a spoiled teenager.

Ok, I'm going to explain this simply.

Tylenol reduces glutathione. Glutathione is an antioxidant that highly mitigates inflammatory damage. If a mother has an illness during pregnancy, something called maternal immune activation (MIA) can occur in response. This is known to cause deleterious effects to fetal development. This is all well documented and not controversial.

If she takes Tylenol during this inflammation to reduce symptoms, it can also cause a reduction in the ability to mitigate the inflammation, which can exacerbate any potential fetal damage. There is a risk to benefit ratio in every medication. In this instance, the risk is fetal damage, and the benefit is reduction in symptoms. The risk outweighs the benefit.

Vaccines cause inflammation. That is, in fact, the goal. Create inflammation to generate an immune response. So pregnant women are given vaccines, which causes inflammation, and cause MIA, which potentially harms fetal development, and then are given Tylenol, which simply exacerbates the situation.

I really wish people would just look at these things from an empirical perspective and stop politicizing everything.

Feel free to look up anything I just said. It's all textbook medical knowledge.

For decades, doctors implored pregnant women to take extra care of themselves, avoid all drugs, toxic foods, get adequate rest, reduce workload, etc, because a developing fetal is exceptionally vulnerable.

Please stop spreading incorrect information that harms patients.

Two weeks before the 25th anniversary of the deadliest terrorist attack in American history, CBC has instructed its journalists not to refer to 9/11 as a terrorist attack.

Nearly 3,000 innocent people were murdered that day, including 24 Canadians, in an act of monstrous evil.

Canadians stood shoulder to shoulder with our American friends, neighbours, and allies in the aftermath. Nearly 7,000 stranded passengers found safe harbour in Gander. More than 40,000 Canadians would go on to serve in Afghanistan alongside our allies in the fight against terrorism.

To call 9/11 anything other than a terrorist attack is an appalling distortion of history. It dishonours the victims and their families, the survivors, and the first responders who suffered from the horrors of that day.

CBC must immediately apologize and retract this directive.

I lived in Canada for 30 years.

The day before I left, my income tax rate was 60% of my paycheck

The day I arrived, my income tax rate dropped to 30% of my paycheck.

The day I got a mortgage, it dropped to 9% of my paycheck.

Even with health care costs, I have way more money in my pocket than I ever did in Canada.

Which might explain why Canadians are always so stressed that they can’t even take a joke.

It’s financial stress. Years and years of financial struggle against a system that takes too much and gives too little in return, and fills your head with so much propaganda that you’re blind to it.

You know something is wrong, but you can’t tell what.

So they set Trump up as the scapegoat and blame him, when the real culprits are your own leaders.
