Calgary born boomer. Wine, art, travelin' and cleaning the oceans. Opinions not always right, but never in doubt. Calgary Stampede & Alberta booster. Canadian!!
Poilievre is right!! The new Enbridge gas pipeline is excellent, but far too long to approve. This one was simple.
What we need is an oil pipeline to the Pacific. The world needs us now, let’s fill the demand and drive up the Canadian economy. @liberal_party@CPC_HQ
The world is running out of jet fuel. Who has jet fuel? Canada, of course, but no way to move it and sell it. Opportunity missed because we cannot sell what the world wants!! Who is in charge here? @CBCTheNational@GlobalNational@CTV
Is anyone else getting a flurry of LinkedIn connection requests. I have decided to ignore and delete them because it feels wrong. Three or four a day??
As @CanadaPost moves to utilize more community mail boxes for mail delivery, perhaps they should also review all locations for mail boxes for posting mail. Boxes located inconveniently on busy streets or away from parking do not encourage people to mail more things.
Thank goodness every Province in Canada has easy access to oil and gas energy because Canada is self sufficient…….oh wait, there’s no pipeline to Quebec or the Maritimes. WOW, that’s just crazy!!
@JeffreyRWRath@donahugh216 Actually, the King has every right to comment on Alberta separation, especially on such a ludicrous concept. We have a constitutional monarchy, an outstanding form of Parliamentary Government.
King can only comment, but thinking Canadians would be disappointed if he didn’t.
The U.S. war in Iran may be good for Alberta’s budget, but when I saw $1.42/litre on a service station tonight, I was sure happy that my car has a 4 cylinder engine!!
@DanWMcLean This is getting ridiculous Dan. Try entering 2nd Street SW from 20th or 21st Avenue. If you go South, the barricades for the bike lanes force you to drive into the oncoming traffic.
The bike lanes concept has gone way beyond logic. Someone has to stop the insanity.
Watching the price of oil reminds me of a long ago economics class when the instructor said “Excess profit breeds ruinous competition.”
The market is not your friend or your enemy, the market just is!
@CBCNews@judyaldous Judy, when you were interviewing the man from Algoma Steel tonight, I was hoping you would ask how much steel Algoma might be able to produce for the new Smith/Carney pipeline.
@RosieBarton In all the interviews on Sunday morning there was little discussion about the Canadian economy which is under attack. Auto industry in crisis, softwood lumber stalled, we must export more of everything including oil and gas for the entire country.
@LRTontheGreen Always supported the Green Line going South. Objected to tunnels, lack of compatibility with existing LRT, and lack of connectivity downtown.
Prime Minister Carney and Premier Smith must now put on their best sales hats and tour the country visiting every Rotary Club, every Community Group and town halls to sell and explain the MOU. The country is in an economic war and this is one of our best and strongest solutions.
