Today, I'm cosponsoring @Landonforward14 motion for better City Employee Compensation Transparency.
The Government of Alberta already requires disclosure of their employee salaries above $133,813. This motion would direct Administration to create a similar framework for the City of Calgary, set at $140,000 - capturing Director-level positions and above. This is not uncommon in other major cities.
Taxpayers fund these salaries. They deserve transparency.

After a few cold mornings talking to transit riders, I brought forward my notice of motion "From Riders, For Riders" today and am pleased to say it passed unanimously.
A big thank you to Calgary Transit Riders, everyone who took the time to speak with us, and the hundreds of you who filled out our survey.
A report back on the requested items in the motion will be coming to the Infrastructure and Planning Committee on May 14th.

When two-car CTrains are running on weekends, trains will continue to stop near the ends of the platforms. You may need to catch your train a little farther down than youโre used to. For more details on this pilot project, visit: https://t.co/11cj7uIezQ

Step up, support Calgary's low-income transit pass, and stop playing political "hot potato" with our most vulnerable.
If you can find $1.2B for a new arena for our wealthiest, you can find $15M to support this essential service.

Today, we're making the largest public transit investment in Canadian history.
We're investing in more public transit to help make peopleโs lives more affordable, tackle climate change, and connect people to the services and opportunities their communities offer!
With $30 billion over the first 10 years we are bringing a new approach to transit funding across the country. We're looking forward to signing deals this year with Canadaโs most ambitious partners.
