Yesterday I asked my PI why he chose to work in academia.
PI: “Both my parents have PhDs in science and I grew up seeing their dissertations on my bookshelf. I always knew one day I’ll write one.”
Me: “I just learned grad school was a thing a couple years ago.”
This is not an attack on any specific coach. This is a GLOBAL Gymnastics culture issue and without creating noise we won’t see change & i’m sure everyone can agree that is what Gymnastics so desperately needs to see. A positive change in coaching culture across the whole sport.
