Just look how happy handicans Panda and Candy are in their forever foster home. Candy has spent the last month settling in meanwhile Panda’s coming up to her 6 month gotcha anniversary 🥰

Two disabled girls who we saved when their rescue was shutting down. Now in the most loving home with their forever foster mum Suzanne who we cannot thank enough for giving them the retirement home they deserve.

Some words from Suzanne:
“Both girls have been showing their full personalities and we now get to see their giddy sides too. Panda’s playbows and high fives, then them both spinning around and being really playful. Candy has also played a bit of tuggy with Finlay too. She likes the toy box!

Panda wants to be a musical theatre star! We get serenaded at meal times (she literally sings for her supper) and then the dancing starts when I’m getting ready to put the bowls down. Yes they are a big commitment but so worth it and bring so much joy.”

Seeing Panda and Candy having such an amazing time in a home, we want to try and find the same for our amazing handican Clive. If you’re looking for a dog who will steal your heart, make you laugh daily, and remind you just how resilient dogs can be, Clive might just be your boy.

We have gently expanded May’s world since she returned to the rescue, with the help of our visiting behaviourist Charlene who knows her better than anyone.

May is a dog who needs to stay with us. She is the product of bad breeding, profoundly deaf and with eyes that receive light differently. So we are doing all we can to make her life as rich as possible - getting all her cuddles in but also making some dog friends.

This is what not giving up on a dog looks like. Unconditionally loved by the team and her Auntie Charlene, and all the volunteers who walked and sat with her when she was being assessed at The Hayloft Pet Services 💜

A year ago Grumpy Stu had a suspected stroke and he was rushed to the emergency vets. The next morning they advised we euthanise him.

He was giving them hell so we knew our boy was still in there and we requested a referral for an MRI scan. The scan came back clear for a tumour or stroke, and the diagnosis was vestibular disease. We brought him back home to the seniors lodge at Rescue World, where he promptly poo’d on Jay’s slipper getting out of the car. And so his recovery started!

Within a couple of weeks his wobbliness and head tilt had nearly gone. Since then our king has had another amazing year with us owning the place and being the charming, defiant boy that he is.

New boy Teddy arriving at our kennel-free rescue. And look who was in the welcoming committee. Chip the dog who was hit over the head with a claw hammer and thrown in a bin to die. Before Chip headed off on a lovely home foster he showed Teddy this was a safe place.
And Teddy has a home trial lined up too 🥳
