@FedeZicarelli@1500 Just returned from Mendoza where this style brunch would be around 55000 arg pesos… what is surprising right now to me is the over 20 % sales tax I found
@FedeZicarelli I think I have an interesting opinion since I own 2 brunch style caffès in California.. @1500 peso s per dollar that is apx $42 us .. at my caffe it would cost apx $73 us or 109500 arg pesos. You would also be expected to tip apx 20% at my Caffe’s plus tax
@ThyLordMatthew Ohhhhh got it, yeah i think I saw that comment. I don’t spend time in the actual city… But if 7 course wine dinners for $100 per person are boring count me in ! lol
@BuySellBA@GabrielD_Ouro Super curious, you would rather raise kids in the USA? We live in coastal so california but also have a home outside Mendoza. My wife and I constantly discuss where would be a better place to raise our children… The states have a lot of problems
@ObtainerOf Retiring on 200k is d ef a bit of an exaggeration, but our Mendoza home at $250k is literally 5x less than a similar home where we live in California. Groceries are a less and everything is fresh. A $5 Malbec from a market is perfectly drinkable. People are kind, and I feel safe
@capitalistfrog@movetoarg Wow that must be an amazing quality of life, we were just at our home in Chacras De Coria and I found it hard to spend $3000 for our family of 3 with dining out quite a bit and winery visits… Perhahps insurance , schools etc would start adding up?
@capitalistfrog@movetoarg 2 paid off houses … $600 a month to maintain each … another $3000 to live … I’m at 6 years of living :) maybe rent them out when you’re not there 🤷🏻♂️
@movetoarg We will be here about a month a year, ( my wife is from Mendoza), and use air Bnb while we’re away. My business’ , (restaurants) are based in CA so hard to move here full time. We have a young baby so the next couple years we will be looking into where we feel is the better
