California is America’s #1 producer of specialty crops and a top producer with truly amazing output, accounting for nearly two-thirds of the nation’s fruits, vegetables, and nuts.

@USDA is working every day to ensure our producers have the tools, support, and certainty they need to keep doing what they do best.

For too long, Washington accepted policies that left American agriculture weaker, less competitive, and more dependent on foreign countries.

We inherited rising input costs, a trade deficit, and a farm economy where too many producers are struggling to stay profitable. Meanwhile, critical food and agriculture supply chains moved overseas, foreign interests expanded their footprint in American agriculture, and family farms faced growing pressure from every direction.

That’s why we’re challenging the status quo. Under @POTUS, we’re focused on strengthening domestic production, opening new markets, protecting our agricultural assets, and ensuring family farmers and ranchers can thrive for generations to come.
