The mRNA vaccines (Pfizer and Moderna) are kind of brilliant at a science level. I’ve had a few people in my real non-Twitter life ask me to explain how it works so I’m going to try my best here in this thread while I’m waiting for a patient to show.
After some playing around I finally figured it out. I'd left XR Device Simulator in the scene when building to my device. XR Device Simulator would then conflict with headset rotation.
Anyone out there that is familiar with @unity3d's XR Interaction Toolkit? I've added it to my project, but when viewing it on a headset the vertical head tracking is flipped. Anyone have insight on what I'm missing? #VR#XR#gamedevelopment
@DarrenOsadchuk Just out of curiosity, do you need something that's just going to run Minecraft? If so, you should still be able to run that on MacOS, that's what I've done in the past and it worked pretty well.
@DOOMReboot Oh, you're thinking stackable sectors? If so I've never thought about that. Current engine doesn't support that, but since I'm using portals it does support moving sectors
@DOOMReboot I've also been following your stuff pretty closely. Really been enjoying seeing what your building. Glad you were able to recover your project
@DOOMReboot Thanks! Yeah I couldn't wrap my head around BSP so I opted for the portal route. It supports convex sectors but doesn't currently support things like sloped floors and ceilings like Duke Nukem did
Had some fun creating a basic level editor for my Doom clone project tonight. This is going to make debugging so much easier!

Started a new personal project this month. I'm working on a DOOM clone in #javascript without using WebGL but instead using 2d #canvas. Just got texture mapping working!
Just discovered that the most recent #Chrome update breaks infinite scroll and load more functionality on websites. You can see the issue by clicking load more with focus https://t.co/vlX1uakldk
#javascript
The most recent Chrome update seems to keep whatever element that currently has focus in the viewport as elements get added to the DOM. To fix this, just blur the element when you want to add elements to the DOM to keep the user scrolled to the same point on the page.
