@TimelySeed@evkonarabi Ah, shipping drama. Should have guessed. That never ends well. Welp, sadly that's just how it goes. Every community has its toxic antis. Nothing much can be done about it on this worthless site.
So I'd just take a break for now and get back in a good headspace.
@TimelySeed@evkonarabi Two years? Has anything else happened aside from that conversation with silverkey? Two years is rather a ridiculously long time as far as the internet is concerned.
@TimelySeed@evkonarabi Countries consider all sorts of different things harmful, sometimes rightly and sometimes not. As of now there isn't any strong evidence to suggest people who like that content become incentivized by it to commit real world acts.
It's the same as the violent videogames falacy.
@TimelySeed@evkonarabi That's sadly a universal constant as for online drama. Moderation on this site is useless. The only advice I can give in regards to that is to block and ignore. These types, while angry and dickish, have short attention spans. They'll quickly get board and move on.
@TimelySeed@evkonarabi Let's say hypothetically everyone who likes that content is a paedophile as you say (I personally don't believe this to be the case). Even if objectionable, would it not be preferable for them to have some form of safe outlet for those desires that doesn't hurt anyone?
@TimelySeed@evkonarabi We can't stop creeps and weirdos from existing, so there's little point in stressing over it if they aren't hurting anyone. It's better to just let them have their niche interest and ignore them.
And I want to run a quick hypothetical, if you'll listen. 3/
@TimelySeed@evkonarabi This might be another point of disconnect. Your personal definition of what constitutes "loli" is very restrictive imo. "Loli" as an archetype is rather broad and expansive, not just limited to actual child characters. And a lot of it is purely vibes based.
@TimelySeed@evkonarabi from more people like him. Other angry lolicon who are also tired of being called that because of their interests.
And Dialyn gave them the in they needed to turn it around and throw it back (the perceived hypocrisy I mentioned earlier).
@TimelySeed@evkonarabi I'm not saying you started it. Silverkey was way out of line with his behaviour and he was the initiator. Nor am I saying you can't lash back at people like that. I guess what I'm trying to say is that you calling him a paedo over him liking loli opened you up to retaliation~
@TimelySeed@evkonarabi I think think this is a moment for some introspection, to get your emotions and thoughts in order and come back with a clearer head. And do keep in mind that everyone has their likes and dislikes, so there's no reason to fight over someone liking something you don't.
@TimelySeed@evkonarabi Think of it this way. What differentiates a lolicon from someone who just happens to like a loli character is whether or not the character being a loli is a contributing factor to them liking them. If that at all makes sense to you? 6/
