Bob was a giant in high stakes fantasy baseball. I loved his spicy twitter takes on baseball and other sports. On his victory tour in Vegas after winning the Main Event, however, he came across as quite humble. And I know he was a generous man. Man, he will be missed!
To all who competed in Fantasy sports with my husband, Bob Cramutola. I wanted to let you know that he has passed away. He enjoyed this group and looked forward to the competion and mostly the endless trash talk. Thank you for being a part of something that brought him joy.
Thanx 4 the love, Stephen G. This graphic is so damn cool. Just want to clarify that the NFBC Goat, Lindy Hinkelman, has won all 3 of these Overalls as well (and has an extra Main to boot). Still, it is an amazing honor to join the exclusive "Triple Crown" Club with Lindy!
How the @TheReal_NFC NFBC DC went down. Shout out to James Tomony who added yet another Overall Title to his resume. He now has a 2016 OC Title, 2020 Main Event Title, and now added the 2025 DC. The only person with all 3 of those.
Apparently nobody told John he could ease up a bit in these NFBC competitions and rest on his laurels after he achieved Hall of Fame status a few years ago. Damn impressive again, my fellow Wisconsinite.
John Pausma won his THIRD NFBC national championship this year, taking down the $150,000 grand prize in the Rotowire Online Championship. The NFBC Hall of Famer previously won the Main Event and the $50 DC national championship. Congrats to 1 of the best. https://t.co/3iWg6aofPJ
@Frew_Dorte@TheReal_NFC That's a helluva comeback in our Vegas 750 OC, Drew. Paul got off to a huge lead, Michelle and her sister had serious momentum, and then you and GP rallied. Nicely done!
Major props to @ClarkOlson for making mincemeat out of our "League of Death" and winning the Main Event Overall Championship. Since @Travis_Sawchik beautifully documented our live draft in Vegas, perhaps he can do a follow-up article dissecting Clark's masterpiece . . .
Had a blast drafting next 2 Travis in the League of Death. TS captures the nerves, adrenaline rush, electricity, buzz, the push & pull of shiny new toys vs. the tried and true, and the inevitable thwarted plans, as each of us tries to assemble the "dream team" that will win 200K!
The HUMAN METRONOME! Feel comfortable in proclaiming that KDβs streak of hitting exactly .247 in Batting Average for 4 consecutive seasons (2015-18) will never be broken. The 1st year was in MKE & last 3 in Oakland.
Of course, the gloves come off in the final hour for some potshots, juvenile humor by the dynamic duo, and stories of MTM conquests. The cherry on top is an interesting discussion about whether the NFBC should honor requests to separate "partners" in Main Event leagues . . .

It's okay. You can listen. No one has to know that you did. It'll be our little secret that you ended up loving it...or that you wanted to block me for it instead.π€«π

Thoroughly enjoyed the Reunion Show. Check out the warm, fuzzy, & cuddly version of ZackWaxx in the 1st 2 hours. Consider the ethics of taking pics of pink Crocs at the gym. Mull over the fate of helium picks and revel in sheep noises & the Spice Girls. Nominee for best pod of 24

@TheDustmite@TheReal_NFC Take it easy on yourself, Jake. Lots of twists and turns with every waiver wire period. And we are seeing more volatility in bullpens in 2024 after a year when the closer role was unusually static.

Well, folks, just took the plunge and signed up for the League of Champions--a great idea to see who can thrive across 3 key NFBC formats--Main, OC, and DC.
This contest could also be dubbed "The Triple Lindy" to honor the only player who has won an overall in all 3 contests!
@JustinMasonFWFB@RobSilver@TheDustmite One of the highlights of the annual Vegas weekend is seeing Jake don one of his sparkly jackets! As Jim Nantz might say, it is an NFBC tradition unlike any other . . .
@Gialde@brianmctaggart If Soto backhands the ball cleanly, he would have his legs underneath him and throw out the runner by half a step. Poor SS mechanics. I would score it an error . . .
While this extremely talented hitter could break with the club, I think it is more likely this former 3B will go to AAA and get used to playing the outfield. I suspect the 21-year-old Walker gets called up in May or June
Jordan Walker is making the Cards Opening Day roster. Not because he hit a massive bomb today, but because itβs always been the likely scenario with a good Spring Training.
@BrendanKutyNJ Ben Rortvedt is both real and talented. I coached against him in Little League and watched him dominate high school baseball in WI before the Twins drafted him in the 2nd round. He is a hard worker and I am glad this serious injury was caught in the nick of time. Wishing him well
