JUST IN: Prominent businessman David Sheehama David, popularly known as Kambwa, has been ordered to pay N$30 000 per month in child maintenance following a divorce settlement with ex-wife Katrina Lugodhi Elifas in the Windhoek High Court.

The amount, set at N$15 000 per child, will increase annually by 5% and excludes additional costs, as Kambwa will also cover half of all medical expenses and the full cost of the children’s education, including tertiary studies if required.

The settlement paves the way for an unopposed divorce, with custody of the couple’s two minor children awarded to Elifas, while he will have reasonable access.
The agreement further provides for the transfer of 35 head of cattle to Elifas.

Court papers indicate that Elifas instituted divorce proceedings, citing, among others, emotional neglect and financial abandonment.
