Construction is continuing on the new Lambton College Residence in #Sarnia, where our team was back on site again last week, getting a look at the mechanical and electrical systems as they’re coming together. The building is taking shape now!

Achieving a P.Eng. is a big moment in an engineering career. It reflects years of focused effort, hands on experience, and a commitment to doing the work right.
Our own Gustavo Pereira has reached that milestone and is now a licensed Professional Engineer!
#TeamBuilding
A few weeks ago our Kingston team swapped drawings and deadlines for a night at Slush Puppie Place, catching the Frontenacs with some of Team Callidus’ kids in the crowd. A big screen cameo, a 4–2 win over Barrie, and a solid night together in #YGK.

Progress in engineering did not happen by accident. For generations, women were excluded from the education, training, and professional opportunities in this industry.
Changing that reality is still ongoing, and AEC continues to benefit from every step forward.
#IWD2026
When our team moves from fluorescent fixtures to LED and integrates architectural dimming controls, the objective is straightforward. Provide reliable, flexible control so the space can shift between lectures, presentations, and events without workarounds.

We were on site last week at the Kingsley Square condos in Newmarket, checking in on a project our team has been involved with from early design through construction.
Kingsley Square is targeting LEED Silver, with sustainability considerations carried through its design.
Our Kitchener-Waterloo office finally got its holiday party in, just a little later than planned!
Originally scheduled for before the end of last year, the event was pushed into late January after winter weather made travel less than cooperative!

Our Kingston team set up a hot chocolate bar in the lunchroom yesterday.
Simple idea, but the timing could not have been better. Judging by the empty mugs and smiles, it was a hit. What better fuel could there be to get work done when everything is covered in 40cm of snow?
Making the most of limited space means understanding not only your own systems, but how they interact with others working in that environment. It requires early communication, shared problem solving, and a willingness to coordinate details before they become issues on site.
Marking one of our final site visits of 2025 our team was on site at Trillium Villa Long-Term Care.
It’s encouraging to see steady progress on a project that will make a real difference for long-term care in Ontario.

There is a difference between making something work today and making it work for the next decade.
That’s where our practical, well-coordinated planning delivers the most value.

#Happy New Year!
We hope you had time to rest, recharge, and enjoy the holiday season.
Our team is looking forward to reconnecting with our clients and partners, (hearing about your holidays first!), and getting back to making buildings work.
Lighting decisions shape more than the look of a finished space. They shape how people feel in it, how they move through it, and how the environment supports the work happening there. It is one of those elements that can be routine on paper yet absolutely defining in practice.

Emergency services facilities are designed with one priority above all others: readiness. Increasingly, that readiness also includes long-term efficiency and responsible energy use.

Carpenters Union Local 249 needed a facility that could support hands-on training.
Our team designed the systems that make the centre operate.

VRF and air source heat pump design gets more interesting once you look past the headline winter rating. The real performance story often shows up in the near-freezing conditions where frost builds quickly and defrost cycles start to matter.

London’s BMO Centre has become one of the busiest indoor sports destinations in Southwestern Ontario, but it began with a challenging brownfield site and an ambitious vision for year-round recreation.
