I took my rescue dog to the groomer for the first time today. He kept looking at me to make sure that I hadn't left. He doesn't want to be abandoned again
Miss you everyday my son. Everything I do is for you. You loved my music. You would want me to share it- to over share it. Your sister is coming soon and I’m looking after your mama. It hurts you’re not here but somehow I feel like you still are. I will carry you with me.
ghost town was written at the very beginning of my son’s cancer journey. I was carrying a lot of fear and grief, and this song captured exactly how I felt that day—empty, anxious, and isolated.

our beautiful baby boy went to be with Jesus last night. He died peacefully and mercifully in mine and his mommy’s arms. please keep me and my family in your prayers as we try to process this impossible time. God bless all of you 🙏🏻
I’ve been pretty quiet on social media the last few months about this subject, but in June of this year my son was diagnosed with kidney cancer. We’ve been at war with this thing for months now and I am happy to say that September 30th we were able to remove the kidney with the tumor in it. Woody is now in the ICU recovering and we are not done with his treatment, but we won a major battle. All through this process, I have seen the joy of the Lord shine through my beautiful blue eyed boy as he has been through some unimaginable pain and suffering. I have seen the love of God pour out through family and friends, but most of all through my beautiful and graceful angel of a wife. I have seen how God’s forgiveness can take a sinner like me and use him for the glory and testimony of Jesus.
Friends, I tell you this. There is no greater joy than finding yourself supremely and so intentionally in the present. Not in the past which you cannot change, nor in the future that you cannot control. The only moment that is real, that is tangible, is the one you’re in right now. Feel it. Live it. Breathe it in. It is here and it is now.
Thank you to everyone who has reached out, prayed, donated, or thought about our family. While the storm still rages, we know that the joy of the Lord comes in the morning. We will continue to pray for each and everyone of you that prays for us. We will continue to feel joy in every present moment we are in. We will continue to fight the good fight.
