"We have seen the information released by Xinhua on 25 December 2024 regarding a hydropower project on the Yarlung Tsangpo River in the Tibet Autonomous Region of China. As a lower riparian state with established user rights to the waters of the river, we have consistently expressed, through expert-level and diplomatic channels, our views and concerns to the Chinese side over mega projects on rivers in their territory. These concerns have been reiterated, along with the need for transparency and consultation with downstream countries, following the latest report. The Chinese side has been urged to ensure that the interests of downstream states of the Brahmaputra are not harmed by activities in upstream areas. We will continue to monitor and take necessary measures to protect our interests."

संथाल हूल के अमर शहीद सिदो-कान्हू के वंशज मंडल मुर्मू भी अंततः भाजपा में शामिल हो गए। क्या आप जानना चाहते हैं कि आदिवासी समाज से जुड़े मुद्दों को उठाने वाले इस युवक ने यह निर्णय क्यों लिया?

इसे समझने के लिए आपको संथाल परगना की वीर भूमि भोगनाडीह की परिस्थिति को देखना होगा। वहां जाते वक्त रास्ते में, तथा वीरों के उस पवित्र गांव में भी आपको सड़क किनारे कई नए पक्के मकान मिलेंगे, जिस पर एक राजनैतिक दल के झंडे दिखेंगे।

इनमें से अधिकतर मकान बांग्लादेशी घुसपैठियों के हैं और उन पर लगे झंडे बताते हैं कि उन्हें आदिवासियों की जमीन लूटने, बहु-बेटियों की अस्मत से खिलवाड़ करने तथा आदिवासी समाज के ताने-बाने को बिगाड़ने की "हिम्मत" कहाँ से मिलती है। यह झंडा बाकी लोगों को "एक दल विशेष के इन दामादों" से नहीं उलझने की चेतावनी देता है।

जिस माटी, बेटी एवं रोटी के लिए हमारे पूर्वजों ने अंग्रेजों को झुका दिया था, आज उसी संथाल परगना की माटी पर इन घुसपैठियों का कब्जा है। पाकुड़, साहिबगंज एवं अन्य स्थानों पर आदिवासी समाज अल्पसंख्यक बन चुका है। जिकरहट्टी, मालपहाड़िया, तलवाडांगा, किताझोर समेत दर्जनों ऐसे गांव हैं, जहां अब आदिवासी ढूंढ़ने पर भी नहीं मिलते। उनके घर, उनकी जमीन तथा उनके खेतों पर घुसपैठियों ने कब्जा कर लिया है।

लेकिन आदिवासियों की हितैषी होने का दंभ भरने वाली यह सरकार हाई कोर्ट में झूठा ऐफिडेविट फाइल कर सच को नकार रही है। जब हाई कोर्ट ने इस मामले की जाँच के लिए एक फैक्ट फाइंडिंग कमेटी गठित करने का आदेश दिया तो ये लोग उसके खिलाफ सुप्रीम कोर्ट चले गए। इसी से पता चलता है कि इनकी प्राथमिकता आदिवासियों को नहीं, बल्कि घुसपैठियों को बचाना है।

कई तरह की आपराधिक गतिविधियों में लिप्त इन घुसपैठियों ने संथाल परगना को देश का क्राइम कैपिटल बना दिया है। जामताड़ा और साहिबगंज में देश भर की पुलिस नशे के सौदागरों, साइबर अपराधियों, सोने के तस्करों आदि की तलाश में आये दिन छापेमारी करती रहती है।

इनके दुस्साहस को आदिवासी समाज की बेटी रुबिका पहाड़िया की हत्या से समझिए, जिसके 50-60 टुकड़े कर दिए गए थे। अंकिता को जिन्दा जलाने की घटना याद है ना आपको? वोट बैंक के लालच में ऐसे मामलों पर आँखें मूंदने और वीर सिदो-कान्हू के वंशज रामेश्वर मुर्मू की हत्या के मामले में परिवार को न्याय दिलवाने में विफल रहने वाले, कम से कम आदिवासियों के हितैषी तो नहीं हो सकते।

भाजपा में शामिल होने के बाद मंडल मुर्मू को धमकियाँ दी जा रही हैं, उनके खिलाफ पोस्टर लगाये जाने की सूचना मिली है। इन सब के पिछे वही लोग हैं जिन्हें लगता है कि वे आदिवासियों को हर मुद्दे पर बेवकूफ बना सकते हैं, डरा-धमका कर चुप करवा सकते हैं। उन लोगों का असली डर यह है कि कहीं हम लोग उनके चेहरे से आदिवासियत का नकाब ना उतार फेंके। कहीं दुनिया को उनकी सच्चाई ना पता चल जाये।

झारखंड आंदोलन के समय दर्जनों बार गोली चलवा कर, आंदोलन को कुचलने का दुस्साहस करने वाली कांग्रेस तो हमेशा से आदिवासी और झारखंड विरोधी थी। उन्होंने ही 1961 में जनगणना से "आदिवासी धर्म कोड" हटाया था। फिर उनके सहयोगियों से क्या उम्मीद कर सकते हैं?

जिन लोगों ने हमारे द्वारा फाइनल किए गए पेसा कानून को रोका, प्राथमिक विद्यालयों में जनजातीय भाषाओं में पढ़ाई के हमारे प्रयासों पर कुंडली मार कर बैठ गए और युवाओं को सड़कों पर आने को मजबूर किया, उनका हिसाब राज्य की जनता करेगी।
