Bragging rights? You won a trophy we’ve won 5 times that doesn’t even qualify you for the trophy we’ve just won. Since you won that trophy, you’ve also not beaten us once.
Hardly bragging right territory
@BenRollaso60223 Exactly that.
A 50+ year trophy drought is standard procedure for us, if I die without seeing another one, I don’t care, I’m grateful I saw one.
We’re a relatively small club who held the bragging rights over you for what, 15 years?
The referee from about 30 minutes onwards was bizarre, it was like he was genuinely angry at us for the way we were playing
Even neutrals around us were absolutely baffled by it, so many strange decisions, and simply refereeing us and PSG to 2 different standards
Fully expected to be honest. Hasn’t been the same player since he left and injuries have seriously hampered him. Came back in to fill a void when almost our entire midfield was out. Glad he got to sign off his Villa career with a trophy.
@NatJPeters@SC__AV Nat, you bare the name of the city after going back on a mutual agreement between the two clubs where neither would hold the city’s name. Hold the name all you want, when anyone thinks of the city, it will always be Villa. 👍🏼
@adog55111@WolvesFan137@gibbs2919@jason_wbafc Agreed. Keeps the rich teams rich and the ones striving to achieve left behind.
We are lucky, we have an incredible manager that keeps exceeding expectations.
Ollie Watkins is the first player in Premier League history to score a brace against each of Man City, Liverpool and Chelsea in the same campaign.
#AVFC
@WolvesFan137@adog55111@gibbs2919@jason_wbafc Bournemouths revenue to wages is at 104%. They are most likely needing to sell. Quite frankly ridiculous considering what an incredible season they’ve had.
🚨 🏴 Bournemouth QUALIFIED for the 2026/27 Europa League by finishing 6th!
🚨 🏴 Sunderland QUALIFIED for the 2026/27 Europa League by finishing 7th!
Usually when a team goes far in the Europa League, League form suffers.
#AVFC win the thing and finish 4th, after the lowest net spend in the league back in the summer.
Unai Emery- pound for pound the best manager in the League and the manager of the season.
@kwy162168@TomCollomosse its not meltdown territory and young players thrive better in that environment. Some of the young lads we brought in (KN, EB etc) may well have been good enough for the prem but maybe not at the level our owners/manager want us to be at.
@kwy162168@TomCollomosse The only problem with us to the Brighton/Bournemouth model is there is less pressure on those clubs. Majority of their fans are happy with Premier League Football (obviously they dream of European football too) but it creates an environment where if they finish 10th…
