@PhilBlundell@shaun_carr85 Lampard walked into a club he’d played for. I don’t really see the relevance. I take your point about the players he inherited. I don’t see any better options that are gettable, and the current manager needed to go.
@SophieJovi He’s a concern. He doesn’t even seem training fit, let alone match fit at this stage, and I doubt they’ll play enough games for him to get match fit.
@AnfieldinCanada@paulieG55370753@davidlynchlfc You’re right that it’s not an exact science but you’re spending £125m on a player who is at high risk of having injury issues. I’d love to know why they thought that was a risk worth taking.
@beth_lindop@TheAnfieldWrap Given previous injury is the most reliable predictor or future injuries (with groins being particularly tricky), you have to question the sense in spending £125m on Isak. “Smartest men in the room”.
@vikingsblood303@Remypalz77@OneSGW If someone were in charge of all those coaches, therefore ultimately responsible, might you call them something like a “Head Coach”?
@OneSGW Completely different physiology. Milner almost certainly has a higher proportion of slow-twitch fibres than Salah. It’s one of the reasons why long-distance runners peak much later than sprinters. Milner also doesn’t play a lot of minutes and hasn’t done for years.
