@nyanyanyan01@ticherie_ yea they definitely are more literate than we are in terms of creole. glad we having convos like these. collectively we have work to do
@ticherie_@nyanyanyan01 wouldn’t say more advanced fr cuz we have our own versions of abbreviations and contractions but yea that’s another thing to account for
@ticherie_@nyanyanyan01 there’s more like our “kay” and their “pral” for future tense but yk other than that it’s just varying vocabulary and obv the r and w situation
@ticherie_@nyanyanyan01 so for lucians “ka” is our present continuous tense marker
for haitians “ap” is their present continuous tense marker.
so “ka” might be confusing at first since lucians use it for something different. but once you know you can switch to ap and detangle the confusion.
@powerxsurge but that’s what they did for a bit and the music wasnt as lyrically complex or as fun as before. look at how foreigners made an effort to learn biscuit so they could sing it - nobody can convince me that watering down the music is the way to go
Morning. New day. New week. Stay sexy. Remember that’s it’s Dennery Segment not Dennery. Dennery is a place Dennery Segment is a music style. Love you guys. Xoxo gossip girl
