Some thoughts about #SQAResults: 1) maintaining valid results matters to all pupils (deprived or affluent) - so the SQA had to ensure no levels of grade inflation to compromise this.

@MrMcEnaney The system of measurement doesn’t create inequality. Deprived pupils were most downgraded, but also saw the largest inflation when measured between 2019 attainment and 2020 teacher estimates. SQA have tried to maintain validity of an already flawed system.
