I came to the Conservative Party of Canada convention here in Calgary today as an observer. I bought a observer ticket. I followed the rules. I showed up in good faith because I believe political parties should be open to scrutiny, debate, and participation even from people who disagree.

But when I reached the registration desk, I was denied entry.

I was told I’m considered a “separatist agitator.”

No explanation. No refund. No incident. No evidence. Just a label and I was told to leave, despite paying money to be at the event.
