@normanlamb - its good to hear that Norman is pushing for us to think about the impact of Covid is having on our mental health. The International Attachment Network, a charity formed to promote Bowlby's theory are keen to help with this.
How very English of me to put everyone else first! To find my self so low that I don’t exist other than as a hollow robot ghost, built to serve the others, and worry. Slipping further into isolation in a lonely chair. Left alone with ever darker thoughts.
What can be done?
The more I want to be someone (or something) else, the more I want to move away from my whole-Self/core/soul. The more anxious I feel.
The more alien self-love sounds, the more I need it!
We are never going to help with the #mentalhealth tsunami until we deal with all the underlying human issues, the huge stresses at school, uni, work and in social media. 6 CBT sessions after 9 months doesn't cut it!!!
@pankhurstplayers @edfringe offer a fresh twist on Shakespeare's taming of the shrew. Through the feminist lens this story isnt funny, and the narrative goes to a dark place. Shame things haven't changed!
Just @TheManTheShow @edfringe. Patrick was excellent and brings an essential and much needed voice to men's mental health. Us men need to start a conversation and Patrick offers a vital start. Life saving.
@campbellclaret Hi Alistair. I watched with interest your documentary. My doctorate at Manchester was on the use of Metaphors in therapy. Your jam jar is a classic example. I have a book, I'm happy to send you, about it 'Whales in The Desert' which may interest you.
