Really good doorstep session in some welcome sunshine today in Calne Chilvester & Abberd ward, ahead of the town council by-election on Tuesday 7th February. Lots of support for Labour Candidate John Boaler. #Calne#labourdoorstep
We’re really enjoying getting out and talking to residents of Chilvester & Abberd Ward, ahead of the town council by-election on 7th February. John Boaler’s pledges are being well received.
Good couple of sessions out on the doorstep in #Calne this week, campaigning with John Boaler, our candidate for the Chilvester & Abberd ward town council by-election. Our letter to postal voters seems to have been well received...lots of people positive about John's pledges.
The by-election is on Tuesday 7th February. Interestingly, there's no Tory candidate, so it's a two-horse race between Labour and the Lib Dems.
We're looking forward to getting out on the doorstep in the next few weeks.
Good launch to our campaign for the Calne Town Council by-election (Chilvester & Abberd ward). We have a great candidate in John Boaler and really encouraging that so many people stayed behind after our CLP meeting to stuff envelopes and deliver 650 letters to postal voters.
Just spotted that 2 Calne Lib Dem Councillors want to spend nearly £1,600 on a fur trimmed robe - at a time when the rest of us are having to watch our outgoings and prep for a difficult Winter. Couldn't make this stuff up. @NWiltsLabour @CalneNews@CalneLabour@wiltsgazette
202 years since the Peterloo Massacre. A crowd of 60,000 people on St Peter’s Field Manchester, assembled to demand parliamentary reform were charged by cavalry. At least 15 were killed and 700 seriously injured. Today we remember the giants and on whose shoulders we now stand.
Allowing issue of withdrawal of whip from Jeremy to drag on into conference is not only wrong but electorally & tactically inane. Even if Starmer wins vote at conference it highlights a party bitterly divided, turning off voters.Advice: grow up & reinstate https://t.co/eSGKRvFmPH
Oh dear. Our local Tory MP has made the newspapers today and not in a good way. You’d think that £100k a year would be enough to get by on, but apparently not.
Fantastic to join @vaughangething, @DanJarvisMP, @TracyBrabin, @votedannorris, @MichaelPayneUK & @LisaTrickett41 this evening for a discussion with Labour members about the difference Labour makes in power.
We're stronger together - and Labour across the UK is showing why.
Boris Johnson’s shameful praising of Margaret Thatcher’s closure of the coal mines, brushing off the devastating impact on those communities with a laugh, shows just how out of touch he is with working people.

The Co-Chair of the Conservatives appears to be offering a secret group of super rich donors access to the PM and the Chancellor.
This raises serious questions about which senior ministers have been lobbied, by whom and for what.
We need answers.

This secret advisory board sounds like a gateway for elite donors to access the PM.
We need to know who this group met, what they lobbied for, and why senior Conservatives think it’s ok for there to be one rule for them and another rule for everyone else.
