⭐️ STAR OF STARS ⭐️

Each year The Advocate hosts the 'Star of Stars Award Ceremony' to recognize great athletes, coaches, and teams. Last year, Elijah Haven was not only recognized as the "Star" for the sport of Football but he was also named as the "Star of Stars" as the overall outstanding male athlete in the greater Baton Rouge area.

Once again, Elijah has been named a finalist for the outstanding male athlete in Baton Rouge! We are also excited to announce that our 2025 Football team has been nominated as a finalist for the overall "Boys Team of the Year" and also "Head Coach of the Year."

CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Calob Leindecker and the Dunham Tigers Boys Golf Team on finishing as the Division III State Runner-Up! CONGRATULATIONS also to Owen Lejeune '30 who finished as the Individual Division III State Runner-Up!

We are SO PROUD of our Tigers and how they competed in the State Tournament at The Wetlands yesterday and today. Owen Lejeune '30 led the way today to ignite the Tigers' jump to second place by carding a 68 for the round — ultimately leading to his individual runner-up performance. Samuel McCullough '26, Billy Van Buzzell '31, and David Scott Rainwater '28 rounded out the top four for the Tigers in the tournament.

The Tigers had five players who consistently worked hard and were the five who led the way to a State Runner-Up Trophy: Samuel McCullough '26, David Scott Rainwater '28, Owen Lejeune '30, Billy Van Buzzell '31, and Sam Shields '31. Thanks especially to Samuel McCullough '26 for his senior leadership and experience to show the ropes for our young guys! With two seventh graders, one eighth grader, and a sophomore, we are looking forward to next season already! CONGRATULATIONS again and GO TIGERS!

⛳️ HEADED TO STATE ⛳️

CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Calob Leindecker and our Dunham Boys Golf Team who are headed to the state tournament following their performance at Regionals yesterday!

Our boys finished in third place for Region II at The Island Golf Course yesterday to clinch their spot in the state tournament. Owen Lejeune '30 led the way for the Tigers shooting a 71, followed not too far behind Sam Shields '31 who shot a 76! Samuel McCullough '26 and Billy Van Buzzell '31 rounded out the top four by each shooting an 81. Lejeune finished tied for third as an individual as well!

We are so proud of the boys advancing to state where they will look to compete for a State Championship next week on May 4th and 5th at The Wetlands! Let's GO TIGERS!

⛳️ DISTRICT GOLF TOURNAMENT ⛳️

CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Calob Leindecker and our Dunham Tigers boys golfers on a tremendous showing in the District Golf Tournament today! Out of 9 schools, we placed 2nd overall, trailing Ascension Episcopal by two strokes.

Our masterful performance today was highlighted by Owen Lejeune '30 and Billy Van Buzzell '31 who tied for second place overall, shooting 77. Our scores were rounded out with a 78 by David Scott Rainwater '28 and an 81 by Sam Shields '31.

The boys will now compete for Regionals at The Island Golf Course with a chance to move on to the state tournament! Good luck boys and keep up the hard work!

CONGRATULATIONS to Coach Calob Leindecker and our Dunham Tigers boys golfers on a fantastic regular season! Our boys are now in the postseason where yesterday they fared excellently at the Metro Match at Santa Maria! Out of 9 Baton Rouge schools of every size, we finished 3rd overall!

A huge THANK YOU to Christian Colburn for all the hard work, dedication, and care you provide to our athletes. From keeping our teams healthy to helping them recover and perform at their best, your impact goes beyond the game. We appreciate everything you do behind the scenes and on the sidelines. Our program wouldn’t be the same without you!

We would like to thank all student assistants that Christian has had in his time this year — Cameron Besse, Jenna Eymard, and Mackenzie Sweatt who have worked under Christian as students at LSU and ULL.

We also would love to highlight the first year of the Dunham Sports Medicine program! We have several students enrolled in the course that is taught by Christian, and they are able to impact and help our athletes as well!
