Is there suddenly a blasphemy law in Ghana and if there is, does it only protect Islam?

Because Ghana does not have a general blasphemy law. Yet sometimes the reaction to criticism or disrespect involving Islam makes it look as though one religion enjoys a level of protection that others do not.

Christians have also watched people openly mock Christianity, disrespect Jesus and ridicule Christian beliefs. We may be offended, but that cannot justify civilians threatening, intimidating or assaulting people.
There are Muslims in this country who set up cameras to disrespect Christianity but no one has attacked them.

If is about Mohammed, Muslims draw the line but if is about Christians, we should sit and watch you disrespect Christianity left right Centre.

You have a stupid man like UTI Dawa who goes only to insult Christians and I’ve never seen him invited by the police. His arrogant nature to belittle Christians.

The law must be consistent. If insulting a religion is protected expression, then that principle must apply equally. If conduct crosses the line into threats, incitement or violence, then let the law and the police deal with it, not angry civilians.

Ghana belongs to Christians, Muslims, traditionalists, atheists and everyone else. No religion should receive preferential treatment, and no religious group should be allowed to enforce its own punishment on another citizen.

Freedom of religion means protecting people's right to worship. It does not mean giving anyone a licence to intimidate people who offend their beliefs.
