The Child Trust Fund was a key achievement of the last @UKLabour' administration. Made a difference to many 18 year olds. #ColumbiaThreadneedle should hang their heads in shame for this theft. My £250 investment is now worth only £12' -

@Ryanair I didn't pay for a window seat two days ago. I paid lowest price possible, random seat, small bag under seat yada yada. Not only did I get window seat with this view, it was seat 1A. First time I've ever been off plane first! Thanks RA!
Whatever your views on Scottish independence, Alex Salmond was a political heavyweight who came very close (clearly too close for some) to achieving his lifetime's goal. The tributes, even from his adversaries, are genuine and recognise the stature of the man. RIP Alex.
@MartinSLewis Am I right in saying that as well as WFA, some pensioners who get pension credit also get a £150 warm home allowance from suppliers such as OVO. If so, a very positive boost.
@PensionsMonkey Modest increase in the minimum number of years NI conts before you're entitled to full state pension would not be unreasonable. UK is overly generous in this regard.
Apart from the film, these all used to be standard a few decades ago when you flew Scotland to London with British Midland, but not with @British_Airways That's progress.
So @RachelReevesMP is to scrap universal winter fuel payments for all unless on benefits. Damn, I was looking forward to stocking up on my winter fuel of hard licor when I become a pensioner next year. But it's the right decision.
These have to be saved for #Scotland. Please don't let them leave. BBC News - Paisley Art Institute sells a quarter of its collection after museum row

Well that's arts organisations stuffed now that the bully boy eco protesters have forced @edbookfest to drop valuable sponsorship from @BaillieGifford Precarious times.
#Budget2024 Hunt wants to do away with #nationalinsurance ? People think their NI contributions guarantee their state pension and NHS. A govt ruse to abolish the former and privatise the latter?
My God, has @WilliamHagueMP nailed it in tomorrow's The Times "If Ronald Reagan were alive today, he would be surprised to find his values and beliefs better represented by a dead opposition leader in Russia than by the representatives of own party, alive and well in Washington."
