@EwenDCameron I think it’s because of the timing of the games. And because society is just so different. Back in 98, we mainly still watched 4 channels on TV. No internet etc. Coverage was everywhere. My 6 year old (and me!) is massively excited about the whole thing to be fair 🏴⚽️
@FifeOnMars@jonnyrmcfarlane He was exceptional in that match. I didn’t remember how poor the goals v Morocco were. My only memory of that game was Burley getting sent off!
@fut_maverick Yengi believes he can fight his way into the team. Not sure what Robinson or happy clappers have to do with it! If Yengi somehow turns into a good striker we’d all be amazed and delighted I’m sure…
@RyanCryle I remember thinking him and Aouchiche looked like really good players in that game. My mate and me agreed that the Dons would be fine after watching that game. Then we added Karlsson/ Nisbet/ Armstrong and we thought we were going to win the league. 🫣
@ANTHONYDELANE40@SirNotTomFarmer@GaryNor1 That's the actual rule though isn't it? VAR only intervenes if it's clear and obvious error. If it's clear and obvious, it shouldn't take 4 minutes.
@EwenDCameron@Herson_7@AndyR67_ I mean - it hits his hand BUT it's not a penalty because he hasn't made his body "unnaturally bigger" and his hand is probably there because of the Celtic player's challenge. Unreal that went to VAR. No surprises though...
@mowgli1977z Definitely possibly (mathematically). Very unlikely though. Dons 0. Killie 12, St Mirren 9, Dundee 6 would do it. Involves Utd losing games, Dons losing all games. Etc.
