We were gifted a painting by a neighbour (flat below) an elderly gentleman we have known for 5 years. A life long artist. He is gravely ill with cancer. It is an original oil of the sea view from our home. We shared words when I collected it. These and the painting are dear to me

Finished ‘The Lighthouse’ by Virginia Woolf. I’m reading ‘Canary Row’ by Steinbeck. Both make me want to write for differing reasons.

Stray from the path and pause as the world moves. I would watch my parents walk into the distance when I was young and feel a glow. Later I would find this feeling again, and learn its root to be the Sacral Shakra.
