The Bathing Water results for England are out 🌊 These show which beaches, rivers and lakes meet the minimum standards required to be considered safe to 'bathe' in
- 93% sites met at least 'Minimum' standards
- 66% met the ‘Excellent’ standard

The four UK governments launched updated Part One of UK Marine Strategy. At best we are standing still on ocean protection & at worst going backward.
In 2018, only 4 of 15 indicators of Good Environmental Status were met. In 2024 this dropped to just 2.
