That spike in first week in Oct *maybe* is financial, but if so, ALL money is dying that month. It's much easier to think it is caused by the 3I/ATLAS arrival spooking the herd.

Gold open interest is in free fall from since March 28. Open interest (Blue line) has collapsed 128,837 contracts as deleveraging is impacting this market. That is 12.8 million ounces. Backwardations are showing up in a number of precious metals. What does this mean? Metal is about to leave the Comex registered category.
