@kayisensikane@swinging4life3@zimcelebs1 I admire your zeal, most Christians have this zeal but unfortunately you all lack knowledge. The issue in Matt 20 was about the called and the chosen, as written in vs 16 of the same chapter. None about salvation like on a death bed
@kayisensikane@swinging4life3@zimcelebs1 The man got saved for one reason, that is, Jesus intended to save him that is why God reviewed to him who Jesus (at his lowest) in Luke 23:40. The man identified Jesus as God. That will not be the case for you and me, we're required to learn and grow til we are conformed to his i
@kayisensikane@swinging4life3@zimcelebs1 I'm familiar with that scripture, funny it's the only scripture available to Christians, how do you form a doctrinal position from 1 scripture? Why do we not see a similar account in the entire New Testament scriptures?
@swinging4life3@zimcelebs1 Of course, type Christian indoctrination. You can just live anyhow and repent at the last minute, and just like that, get a free pass to paradise
🔸People are spreading a false narrative that Wicknell was a bona fide businessman. He was not. He was a corrupt tenderpreneur and he believed that his conduct was normal.
Have you forgotten the time he went before a Parliamentary Committee and admitted that Intratek is a shelf company that takes advantage of the tender process to front international companies for profit?
This is why Wicknell’s Intratek doesn’t produce or sell anything. It has no visible employees. They never exhibit at trade shows and there’s no discernible footprint of his commercial activity. This is why he could not build the Gwanda solar farm that he was paid millions by Govt to deliver. They simply get tenders from Govt then pawn off those tenders to foreign companies that do the work. Wicknell then puts a multi-million dollar mark up, gets paid huge amounts from the public purse and that’s how he got “rich.”
These are the public funds that should be invested in basic public services like hospitals, schools and public infrastructure but are instead wasted on private jets, Rolls Royces and most recently “gifts” to silence influential artists, church leaders and other voices with a following.
So please don’t be surprised that the public are so opposed to what he represents.
We need new leaders.🇿🇼
In Paediatric oncology we once lost 4 children in one night because of a lack of resources. Even after 2 years I remember their names. For 2 of them we could not find blood. The other one needed a chest drain she died while waiting for it. The last one needed a CT guided intervention. Blood was an issue because government owed a lot of money to NBSZ. No CT in the hospital.
For context all gifts given to Jah Prayzah could buy 10 CT machines and settle the arrears with NBSZ.
Death is far kinder than what they deserve.
🧵 Winky D’s TÊTE-À-TÊTE (HELLO AFRICA) isn’t just an album. It’s a conversation with Africa. 🇿🇼🌍
16 songs. Different stories. One bigger message.
Here’s what I think Winky D is saying in each track. 🐐👇🏾
I have now listened to the whole @winkydonline album. Next week I will review one track per day.
In my humble opinion, Tete-A-Tete is the most consequential album ever recorded in Zimbabwe in the new millennium. I cannot think of any other album from this era with such deep social commentary, the kind that makes you laugh, reflect and, at times, cry. I did cry as I listened to some of the tracks.
He touched the raw nerve of our struggles, and he did it with remarkable depth. This is music for thinkers, music for those who seek substance.
I want to tell him that he has earned his colours. What this record needs now is international promotion. To his fans, spread the message far and wide.
He did the work, now spread the word. I want to end by saying this is not Zim dancehall. This is authentic reggae.
I hope and pray that Reggae Land gives him a slot. He deserves it.
Well done, Winky, you have made every ghetto yute proud, you have made every patriot proud. You are indeed one of the best of your generation in Africa. Please @DavidRodigan , listen to this album from Zimbabwe, you will thank me.
Last night I said that I usually read on long haul flights. Listening to this album was more than reading, it nourished the mind.
