Then Secretary General, Jerôme Valcke was like a Prime Minister...running the show and exerting FIFA's rules. South Africa co-operated FULLY because the first World Cup on African soil HAD to succeed. And it did!

Can someone kindly educate me..what is the problem with Bafana Bafana's visas? The comments have been vague "sort out visas...delays...hurdle." I also saw the geopolitical reference. But what are the facts?

Where is the hurdle? Is it submission, processing, issuance? And the USA unlike many consulates, is excellent with its processing times. Unlike others, you find out on the spot, whether a visa has been approved or not. So at which point did the problem occur? And when did the team find out?

They issued heavily restricted visas to the Iranian team, which is scheduled to play on U.S. soil. They also failed to issue visas to @BafanaBafana in a timely manner.
