Ottawa Police have confirmed cars parked on the grounds of the national Cenotaph have been removed. Parking on this sacred ground that includes the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier was a sign of complete disrespect.
At the time Justin Trudeau was doing his racist pantomime, I was a brown kid with a turban just outside Vancouver facing fairly regular bullying. I can't imagine how demeaned I would have felt if one of my teachers had done that.
Whenever women are pursuing their sporting passion and some teenage fanboy tries to pipe up with a hilarious ‘Back to the kitchen’ tweet 🤦♀️

@PnPCBC @Colettod @VassyKapelos Median income does not = median “employment” income tho. Retiring boomers push the median “income” down. Also, raise interest rates and watch housing prices go down (but I am no economist...)
@Colettod And just to be cheeky — bc we also “need” computers — 1976 clunker of a computer would be about $500,000 in today’s dollars... houses are far more regulated now too, increasing safety, quality and... cost. More to the story than just a simple comparable.
August 9, 2018, is #IndigenousPeoplesDay, this year recognizing Indigenous peoples’ migration and movement. “We remind all Canadians that our rights reside within us and stay with us regardless of where we choose to live.” – National Chief @PerryBellegarde#WeAreIndigenous
City of Victoria to remove statue of John A. MacDonald. Mayor says 'Indigenous people do not need to walk past this painful reminder of colonial violence each time they enter the doors of their municipal government.' Canada's 1st PM was key architect of residential school system.
@CBCOttawa Why does the law need to regulate the price at all? Microbreweries: relax. I highly doubt your target client will buy beer based on 25 cents savings.
Today would have been Terry Fox’s 60th birthday. He’s a Canadian hero, but he was also a son, brother and friend.
At 18 he was a student. At 19 he was a cancer patient. At 21 he was a hero. Take a moment today to remember Terry.

@cathmckenna@propergandiste Quoting Dr Zeus may be good for some but not likely those that actually vote or those that make day-to-day business decisions —- especially in those countries that can make a material difference (and Canada isn’t one of them....).
