"Batman: Knightfall – Part One" is out now! 🦇
I had a terrific time stepping into Gotham as Commissioner James Gordon and being a part of this incredible cast.
For those of you who’ve followed Batman over the years, you know that "Knightfall" is a pretty special story—and I hope you enjoy what weve done with it.
You can watch it now on @VuduFans, @PrimeVideo, and @AppleTV.
A note for parents: This one is rated R, so despite the animation, it’s definitely aimed at an older audience.
Hope you enjoy your trip to Gotham! -BB
Remembering the late, great Dolly, who brought joy, comfort and inspiration to so many - including the millions of children given free books through her Imagination Library. We will always ❤️ you.
It's a big deal sitting at John McCain’s desk and serving Arizonans in his Senate seat for a Navy guy like me. He's someone I always looked up to and who always fought to make our country and the world a better place by standing up for democracy and freedom.
There will not be another like the Queen of Country, Dolly Parton. Her music spoke to millions across generations, including in our family. And America is a better place because the inspiring and unifying example she set with her spirit of generosity and belonging will endure far into the future, just like her timeless music.
Dolly’s death hit me hard today. I visited Dollywood in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee with my kids and granddaughter in 2023. We saw a couple of dinner theater shows that her Dollywood performers did an outstanding job on. That trip gave us some great memories.
I can’t help but wish that she wasn’t the 80 year old that died today, that it was the orange pedo rapist. Life is not fair sometimes.
Grateful for all the generous philanthropic work that Dolly did. Her music will live on forever but her greatest legacy will be her Dollywood Foundation and her Imagination Library.
It’s hard to imagine many people having a bigger impact than Dolly Parton. Born in a one-room cabin, she earned 11 Grammys and an Emmy, built a business empire, helped millions of kids learn to read, and — as if that wasn’t enough — helped accelerate the research that led to the Moderna COVID vaccine. What a life. Michelle and I are thinking of Dolly’s family and her many, many fans.
Eight years ago today, we lost John McCain. He served our country with courage throughout his life — as a Navy pilot who was taken as a POW, a Senator for over 30 years, and a leader who never stopped fighting for Arizona. That kind of service is worth honoring, today and always.
Hillary Clinton is right! Unfortunately, this G-damn unqualified, incompetent clown car administration doesn’t have a f^cking clue what they are doing. 🤬
His dad was a Blackhawk Pilot who was KIA back in 2007 in Baghdad and this is him on his first overseas rotation in 2020.
His dad must be proud for him following in his footsteps.
The Epstein Files…
hard to read… harder to forget..
the allegations are sickening..
what’s darkest of all is how unfinished this still feels..
why is accountability still nowhere to be seen.?
Mess Attendant Second Class Doris “Dorie” Miller awoke at 6 am. His first duty was to collect the crew’s laundry from deep in the hold of his ship. Miller was a big man, a gentle giant standing 6 foot 4 inches tall and weighing over 200 pounds. Very few of his fellow sailors made fun of his first name. Nobody ever did it twice.
Miller had been at work for nearly two hours when a violent shudder hurled him against the steel bulkhead. The USS West Virginia was under attack.
It was December 7th, 1941.
Over the course of that distant and chaotic morning, Miller helped move his captain to safety, commandeered a deck mounted anti-aircraft machine gun and, by the reckoning of some crew members, shot down between four and six Japanese aircraft. He also helped move crew members to safety at great personal risk. Miller saved many lives that day.
In the reflective aftermath of battle, while the Navy counted their dead, they also counted their heroes. Mess Attendant Miller was recognised as one of America’s first heroes of World War II. They awarded him the Navy Cross and a promotion.
He should have received the Medal of Honour.
The Frigate USS Miller (FF-1091) was later named for him. The planned aircraft carrier USS Doris Miller (CVN-81) is about to be.
Or is it?
CNN reports that three high-level sources inside the Trump orbit say that Trump wants that ship named for himself. Ominously, the ship’s name has recently been rebranded by its hull classification number CVN-81 only, and the name USS Miller has been scrubbed from the official record.
Of course that’s what Trump wants. Miller was a black man, and the draft-dodging, racist creep knows his bigoted base won’t begrudge him stealing the name of the new carrier from an African American for himself. As long as the hero it was named for wasn’t white.
I am tired of that child-raping, lying douchebag carving out stolen honours for himself. A White House ballroom for a man with no balls, an arch for an arch criminal, the Peace Prize for a piece of shit, the chiseller’s name chiselled into the Kennedy Centre — all that is bad enough.
But there is no place for a craven, whiny, tantrum-throwing man-child on the hull of an American aircraft carrier. None.
Nearly two years after the attack on Pearl Harbor, Doris Miller died in battle defending his country. He was 24. He was buried with full honours. A granite marker was dedicated to his life and heroism in his hometown of Waco, Texas.
Draft-dodging Trump and the monsters who serve him have earned no such dedications, no statues, no official praise, nothing but contempt — and prison. One day history will assign them the villainy they deserve, and their names will, like the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor, forever live in infamy.
