$5M was not the deciding factor for Soto between the Mets and Yankees. He was in pinstripes, looked across the bridge and said “this is the org I trust to win, not the one I’m playing for right now”.

A big moment for the real big brothers in town #LFGM

i don’t want to live in a country where people can’t safely commit felonies and run for president

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

@SteveGelbs The comments are full of people saying the actions were too slow and I disagree.

If you cut and benched every player who slumped you’d have no team. McNeil has great upside when he’s right, and Baty defensively looked great if he could get the bat going. Long season ahead still.

Traded to Milwaukee, but will always play Phillies baseball

[Anthony DiComo @AnthonyDiComo]

Benches and bullpens just emptied in New York after Jeff McNeil took exception to a late slide from Rhys Hoskins into second base. But that was the extent of it. No punches, no ejections.

On video review, umpires ruled that Hoskins' slide was legal.

That game was like a classic boxing match. It’s hard to imagine a more exciting game. We needed that win

[SNY Mets @SNY_Mets]

DO YOU BELIEVE IT?!

THE METS WIN!!!!!!!

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

i try to have hope and then we throw in Luis Guillorme to pinch hit with bases loaded

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

i don’t even know how to defend buck showalter at this point. managerial decisions have cost us at least 5 wins already this year

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

@BleacherReport KD and them have only played a handful of games together and they haven’t had time to gel yet. This is just like when the big 3 first got together in Miami before they worked out the kinks. They’ll be back

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

stetson bennett is going to be in his 30s by the time he gets his entry level job at deloitte

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

stoked about the heat but this game would have ended an hour ago if giannis didn’t take 3 years to brick every free throw

[Ben Yoel @Ben_Yoel]

@ Mets

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

this is more than nick castellanos has taken in his whole career

[Codify @CodifyBaseball]

Mike Trout has already taken 69 pitches this season. 😮

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

one of them dropped 41 and celebrated with their team and the other one got carried by their bench and then followed the other around for 3 minutes.

it’s not classless it’s just goofy

[Emmanuel Acho @EmmanuelAcho]

If it wasn’t “classless” when Caitlin Clark did it, don’t call it classless when Angel Reese does it. Let the women compete, it’s sports!!

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

oh the sweet sweet sound of opening day

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

owners getting mad at the Mets spending is just proof that billionaires love a free market until there’s a bigger billionaire

[cam @CamDaddyDubz]

the perfect match but it’s just a guy in a garage testing matches
