Pleased to see that a new drop-off and parcel collection point for @witneyfoodbank has been established at Elmfield House on New Yatt Road in #Witney. This is adjacent to The Edge Deli Cafe.
Your help is vitally important to those who need it the most. All donations are gratefully received.
Thank you to Perry and Emma from ZinCo Green Roof for their work in establishing this!
Our area remains under a yellow weather warning for Snow and Ice until 12.00pm on Friday. ๐ท
As ever, if you need my help or have any concerns, please do contact me by emailing [email protected]
As you will have undoubtedly noticed, Storm Goretti has now arrived in western Oxfordshire.
The Storm is likely to bring heavy snow, in addition to the winds and rain we have already seen, leading to disruption and difficult travelling conditions overnight tonight and into Friday. There is already snowfall settling on higher ground in the Cotswolds just to the north and west of us.
Please take extra care if you do have to travel or head out, and please allow yourself as much extra time for any journeys as you see fit. Public transport may also be affected at short notice. ๐ท
Well done to Councillor Lidia Arciszewska and the rest of the team who have been working hard to find a solution to this issue. And great news regarding the cafรฉ too!
My colleague @CalumMillerLD and I will be meeting with #GWR and local councillors this month to get the ball rolling on finding a sustainable long-term solution to this problem โ One that I will update on where possible.
Anyone who travels regularly from #Hanborough Station knows how often the station car park is completely full. This results in people missing trains they have booked and paid for because they have nowhere to leave the car they have driven to the station in.
I was really pleased to hear from @GWRHelp over Christmas that theyโll be providing approximately 30 new parking spaces near to the station. This is excellent news and will help ease some of the pressure, but longer term we all know that the car park will need to be expanded.
Wishing everyone a hopeful and positive 2026!
As we look ahead to the year to come, Iโm feeling really optimistic about what we can do together as a community. Itโs a huge privilege to represent our area, and Iโll keep working hard for you in the months and years ahead.
The festive spirit has me looking back at the past year, which you can read all about in my December newsletter, as well as some of my plans for 2026: https://t.co/NeDyYxOnyL
Wishing you all a relaxing and enjoyable break over Christmas and New Year.
It's been an incredibly busy year in 2025, with lots achieved, and I remain very grateful to you all for putting your trust in me. I will continue to do everything I can to deliver real, positive change for our home in 2026 and beyond.
I am also thinking today of all of our vital key workers who continue to work so hard over the holidays โ we are so grateful for what you do. Thank you.
Merry Christmas to all!๐
Travelling this Christmas Eve and wishing it was easier to park at Hanborough station?
Along with fellow Lib Dem MP Callum Miller, I've written a letter about the parking mess at Hanborough rail station, asking for change โคต๏ธ
Iโm completely delighted to see that all the endless campaigning and protests have produced a result.
Well done everyone who fought so hard on this, and well done to Alistair Carmichael and Tim Farron for doing such a great job leading the charge!

Did you know that only 17% of Thames Valley shoplifting offences result in someone being charged? The reality is that this only the tip of the iceberg, as so many still don't go reported. Much more enforcement, support for shop staff and CCTV needed!

Delighted to make an early-morning visit to Royal Mail in #Carterton on Friday.
I was introduced me to the team and showed around their fantastic operation at one of the busiest times of the year.
Lots of engaging conversations and I was also pleased to draw the staff raffle winning ticket!
Iโm very grateful to everyone at Royal Mail across my constituency for all their hard work and dedication, especially at Christmas time. Thank you for everything you do.๐๐ฎ
A useful visit to Bumbles News and Post Office in Burford this morning with Postmistress Sally.
If the postal services that she and other post offices around the constituency provide are not used they will disappear from our High Streets.
Please come and use them! We discussed this here below.๐
We have district elections set for May, and now the government is considering cancelling them - supposedly up to the local authorities, but we'll see.
Undemocratic, suspicious, cowardly and self-serving. Weโre a democracy, let the elections go ahead!
We should be standing up for our farmers, but the Labour Government is just letting them down time and time again.
Show your support for our farmers by signing my petition here: https://t.co/zYVM1ZSiP7
As many as 1 in 3 farming businesses are loss-making. The Family Farm Tax and the lack of a replacement to SFI are twin disasters, pushing our farmers to the brink.
Much more help is needed on supply chain fairness, seasonal workers and small abattoir regulations.
