Matthew Stafford shares how his QB coach, Dave Ragone, once studied his performance after turnovers and sacks.
They found his stats on the next possession are exponentially better than league average.
“I just equate that to being able to compartmentalize…Be honest and real about it and not ultra emotional.”
In performance environments, your execution on the next play often depends on how long you stay attached to the last one.
The key is not wasting energy arguing with reality and training yourself to respond and re-engage quickly.

You can love Drake Maye, believe in him long-term, and still critique him when he’s playing poorly.
Those things aren’t mutually exclusive.
Supporting your QB doesn’t mean pretending he hasn’t been off. You can have 100% confidence he’ll turn it around while still holding him accountable in the moment.
That’s fandom.
@msully5433 I don’t think they want to hate him. I think we all just want him to play better . Today was not great . I still believe in him and hopefully next week we can turn it around
Football twitter will be better when folks stop analyzing the sport in the same way they analyze basketball, it is not a black and white sport not even close
If the Patriots were to play Minnesota rn with the offensive struggles we would lose . Close game but Drake has to improve . The offense as a whole has to improve .
#Patriots DT Christian Barmore says Mike Vrabel got on their ass all week about making a bigger impact as a D-Line:
“Coach got on our ass all week in practice. We gotta get in the middle of the pocket, we gotta put our hands up… We gotta put pressure on the quarterback. Anybody. That was our goal and we took that personally.”
