I've been sharing this amazing picture on Zoom class visits — kids remote learning during a polio outbreak in the 1940s. Schools shut and teachers read lessons on the RADIO. We're facing such challenges today, but as I tell kids, we've faced them in the past and gotten through.
Pumpkins never looked so good! Pumpkins decorated like Cameron students' favorite book characters come alive for a Halloween week contest! There will be 4 class winners - a K-2 & 3-5 winner for A days & B days.
Thankful for our AP Mrs. Driessen and 5th grade teacher Mrs. Switzer for working with our 5th grade students on the proper etiquette for raising and lowering our flags! - ^#camscotsproud

Just re-read "The Key to Extraordinary" @_natalielloyd. Emma Pearl encourages me to seek magic everywhere & never doubt my starry aim. Even though my reading stack goes up to the sky, so glad I took the time to read it again. Who wants it next, Cameron Elementary?
@pamgaddy245 Look out! When Gaddy's 2nd graders were inspired by a Raymond Brigg's giant story, they recreated the giant from the pages. Gaddy mixed in some real world measuring for a great literacy/math connection. Voila! #camscotsproud
