Mrs. Radford and Mrs. Miles' 5th grade classes have spent the week working on science skills at STARBASE hosted by the Air National Guard at McEntire Joint National Guard. To concluded their week of learning the students launched their group's rockets.

Ms. Anthony uses a sensory table to reinforce math skills in her 4K classroom. Students have to roll a number cube, identify the number, then match the number to a number card and identify that amount of objects. @kcsdschools

Mrs. Miles' fifth grade SEAGUL students have been working on a neuroscience unit. Students are learning about the parts of the brain and how each part controls different functions in the body. Today students labeled and then dissected a sheep's brain. @kcsdschools

In Mrs. Knapko’s PE class, kindergarten students reviewed skills they have learned by rotating through stations. Students are focusing on catching, throwing and tossing. Mrs. Knapko also added a mini obstacle course, jump ropes, hula hoop, and dance station.

To end their study of types of fiction, students in third grade rotated through all 4 classes to experience a "Book Tasting." Each class had their own theme and type of fiction for the students to read and analyze.

Ms. Truesdale's students chose a color for their sail and created sailboats to go along with their reading story for the week, Jamberry. A water sensory activity was also conducted to float their sailboats. @kcsdschools
