I think the showrunners need to start saying fuck no. If I’m doing 8 to 10 eps, I always insist on 6 to 7 writers. Out of those, I always want 1/3 to be lower level, 1/3 mid, and 1/3 upper. It’s the best way to build a room, in my opinion.

Strikes cause disruptions. Everyone out there fighting for better pay and protections risk not having a job to come back to. What she’s doing could aid the studios and prolong the strike, causing financial pain to a hell of a lot more people than just her crew.

Hollywood has become something of a giant Trust or monopoly run by the studios and streamers designed to kill independent film competitors. Over the last 30 years the laws have been whittled away that protected competition in the marketplace.
