Setting aside whether universities should be in the business of providing this kind of advice, the real question is why therapeutic bureaucracies are now somehow responsible for attending to every last private corner of student life, right down to the “bondage and fetish gear.”
@zapatas_mom@DanHaywoodEsq Like, yes, we should be charitable when people are not 100% correct about stuff. But we also have a responsibility to be reasonably accurate and your post was not
@zapatas_mom@DanHaywoodEsq y'all have a habit of saying inaccurate stuff almost on purpose and doubling down when being screamed at. Yeah it's not like we're putting tons of people in jail based on accusations. But you said the word arrested, and either you meant that or you are not a serious person
@buttonslives@TorontoMiranda The thing that op describes does happen because people are different from you. I just don't believe it's the majority, and using that to answer every question is not a great strategy
@DarkLordeBryan The problem is "I'll believe you even if I don't know what happened is a privilege reserved for maybe 5 most important people in your life. You can't reasonably extend this to random strangers
@CathyYoung63 I'd like to boldly say that
1. being in denial of bad things is indeed pretty common
2. but you still have a choice
3. we can't treat denial as an evidence of the positive. Changing your story is still supposed to lower your credibility
@neerajadeshp@mtracey I'm pretty sure this is because she didn't know the men didn't just went randomly but were invited (an objectively gross thing this Jonathan tried to hide for obvious reasons).
This doesn't have much to do with legal consent after the men were in there though
@Nyct0phil3_x This is probably more physical than a choice, because if I feel like I gotta eat 10000 calories or I die, I'm having my period within 48 hours,
and I'm sure there're people who are like that every day. I sort of feel bad for them
@Nyct0phil3_x violently dragging women to the corner in the streets and date rape is already different enough. We really don't need a wider definition😭
Tracked calories for a month and
This shit makes me crazy. I'm gonna stop tracking and eat and exercise like a normal person. I understand why mfs have ed now
