“For this commandment that I command you today is not too hard for you, neither is it far off.” Deuteronomy 30:11
True joy is full (John 15:11), always (Philippians 4:4), and any (Philippians 4:11-12)
It’s not too hard. It’s not far off. Just focus on Him not yourself.
“God created us to live with a single passion: to joyfully display his supreme excellence in all spheres of life.. God calls us to pray and think and dream and plan and work not to be made much of, but to make much of him in every part of our lives” John Piper
Think of self less
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope.” Romans 15:13
God is the source of hope and gives hope
Source and Giver
“I have learned, in whatever situation I am, to be content. I know how to be brought low, and I know how to abound. In any and every circumstance, I have learned the secret…” Phil. 4:11-12
“The secret is Christ in me, not me in a different set of circumstances” Elisabeth Elliot
Humility - 1 Peter 5:5-7
Humble self under God &
Clothe self w/ humility towards others
Why? - He opposes the proud but gives grace to the humble (verse 5)
For What? - At the proper time He may exalt you (verse 6)
How? - Cast anxieties on Him for He cares for you (verse 7)
“And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus… and the God of peace will be with you.” Philippians 4:7, 9
You don’t just get the peace of God. You get the God of that peace.
He is with you

“Until now you have asked nothing in my name. Ask, and you will receive, that your joy may be full.” John 16:24
Why read the Word?
Why pray?
“That your joy may be full”
“Repent therefore, and turn back, that your sins may be blotted out, that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Jesus” Acts 3:19-20
No matter what’s happened in the past, you can repent & live in His joy
Love God with all (Mark 12:30)
Treasure Christ above all (1 Corinthians 2:2, Philippians 1:21, 3:7-8)
Let the Spirit guide you into all (John 16:13)
Know God alone is your judge in all (1 Corinthians 4:3-4, 1 Peter 2:21-23)
With all, above all, into all, in all
He’s worth it
“The Lord is my shepherd, I lack nothing… Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me… Surely your goodness and love will follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.” Psalm 23:6
Life with God

“Whom have I in heaven but you? And there is nothing on earth that I desire besides you” Psalm 73:25
“For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified” 1 Corinthians 2:2
He’s all you need
“Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God” Matthew 4:4
“I am the bread of life; whoever comes to me shall not hunger, and whoever believes in me shall never thirst” John 6:35
Body needs food
Soul needs God’s Word
Eat until full
Mark 12:30 - “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength.’”
If we are called to live this way, you better learn how to apply it to your life. Grove City can get you there… take it from these guys‼️🧱

Great job fellas! Keep building… Keep living in vision!
“For I decided to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ and him crucified” 1 Corinthians 2:2
“But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you” Matthew 6:33
Let your passion be single
Focus on your vision not circumstance
“Set your minds on things above, not on earthly things” Colossians 3:2
“So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen, since what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal” 2 Corinthians 4:18
Focus on The Vision and the circumstance grows strangely dim
“If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:31-32
“…your word is truth.” John 17:17
