Wednesday was SO hot, and I had a free day, so I took myself to the beach. It was amazing!! I stayed until sunset, because it was so lovely. I even had an ice cream at a little stand that was playing flamenco-style tunes.

@Feisty_Waters But again, see my caveat: The beautiful crystal-clear waters of the Bow and Elbow. Stunning. Loved. Enjoyed. Pretty much unmatched in big cities. Some may argue a sparkling river flowing through even a suburban hell... is still heaven.

Eau Claire market was a hub of summer activity for years, but it's going to be demolished in favour of another glass-tomb. Calgary Folk Fest is the only thing there now (for now).

How embarrassing that no one in Calgary has the sense to think about why animals are being put on display just to satisfy parents looking for activities for toddlers.
