AG Peter Neronha says the person police were looking for yesterday, who may have encountered suspect, approached police yesterday and “blew the case open.” Led police to a description of car.
Suspect was found dead with the satchel seen in images and two guns.

The now-dead suspected gunman is identified as Claudio Manuel Neves Valente, a 48 year old who was enrolled at Brown from 2000-2001 in physics PhD program, would have spent time in the engineering building where shooting Saturday occurred.

I'm told investigators are now leaving open the possibility there's a connection to the killing of an MIT professor in Brookline this week.

Investigators are asking for the public’s help in identifying and speaking to the individual shown in these photos who was in proximity of the person of interest.

#BREAKING on scene of a fire in Pawtucket. Chief tells me that it was an “intense fire to fight” one person was trapped inside a mobile home unit and that they have succumb to their injuries on scene. One firefighter suffered burns to their ears. Tune in to @NBC10 for updates.

Near the end of tonight’s meeting, attorney Angell ripped off my photographer’s (@CameraManDan10) microphone from the council bench.

He and Marino swiftly exited out of the back door of council chambers.

The operator is in the hospital with minor injuries and power has been knocked out for the surrounding area. @NBC10

Per Tiverton FD Chief Bailey: Call came in at 6:15 at Site-Ready Materials and Recycling for large debris pile on fire. Hydrants were an issue so Tanker Task Force was called in. Anticipated to be a long term operation tonight. Turn to @NBC10 @11 for more details
