Lamont Butler is the prime example of what the transfer portal should look like. Play your entire career at a school, and become a legend there. Then, for a graduate year go somewhere else, in his case, the highest level of college basketball for one year.
Lamont is a legend at San Diego State and Kentucky and both fanbases love him so much for what he did at each school!
Kentucky got a good one.
Milan Momcilovic was 1 of 2 players in the country to shoot 50% from the field, 45% on three-pointers, and 85% on free throws this season.
Gosh, his shot chart is pretty 😍
I keep running this through Basketball Reference to make sure it's correct, but since the 3-point line was introduced ...
Here's the complete list of Division I players who made 130+ 3s at a 48+% clip in a season:
Milan Momcilovic.
I caught up with Malachi Moreno at the Great Crossing basketball camp this morning. Here is what he had to say about his new teammate Milan Momcilovic.
"He was the best shooter in the country last year, he fits Pope's offense perfectly. We're going to be dangerous."

“I would expect returnee Kam Williams to be in the starting lineup there as well.” - Matt Norlander
Will we be seeing a SF Milan Momcilovic and a PF Kam Williams in our starting five? #BBN
Every get is the next great one during transfer portal season and there’s lots of them. That said, sometimes patience - albeit hard - can provide some relief.
That’s the case for Big Blue Nation. Milan Momcilovic is one of the best returning players in the nation. A complete matchup nightmare who has tremendous feel for the game and can score it from anywhere. Between reeling Momcilovic in, having Malachi Moreno back on the interior plus the backcourt of Alex Wilkins & Zoom Diallo, the Wildcats have a roster with major upside now. Top 20 preseason caliber.
“I think everything else is for show. I don’t buy any world that St. John’s makes sense in terms of fit for him. I don’t think that what Louisville has done with its roster and what they’ve built and how much money they’ve spent, especially at his position, at the 3 and 4. Like, it makes zero sense for him to commit to either of those schools. Haven’t heard any others pop up. UCLA, LSU have been kind of whispered at times — just by process of elimination and in terms of need, money, role and what Kentucky is pitching this kid. It makes so much sense for this kid to end up at Kentucky.” - Jack Pilgrim on Milan Momcilovic #BBN
