@LACEdaFlyFellow@souljagoyteller Do you understand what the tweet you were responding to said? War can be carried out with parallel genocidal intent, in the case of Germany’s invasion
@aaron_pet78@souljagoyteller The Wehrmacht were deeply involved in the genocide of Jews and other occupied peoples. The massacres of Jews were carried out as an integral part of Germany’s broader genocidal war
@JeremiahCo77@IhabHassane The Times of Israel affirmed it was Jewish settlers. I don’t care if some settler on twitter claims it was Arabs, I have no reason to trust them. Also why should I care that Jews have some dna from people who lived there 2000 years ago?
@travizz77@souljagoyteller 1) completely different topic, irrelevant to whether genocide can have parallel intent, which you said it can’t
2) is Israel’s bombing not industrial?
3) Rwanda was often carried out with machetes. Is its not being industrial mean anything
@LACEdaFlyFellow@souljagoyteller He’s saying that the holocaust occurred as an element of that invasion. The Nazis committed to extermination of Jews beginning in the occupied territories with mobile killing squads who were seen as a threat. Extermination camps came later
@travizz77@souljagoyteller The Rwandan Genocide was intended to wipe out Tutsis, who were seen as RPF-aligned. The Srebrenica massacre targeted boys because they were seen as future Bosnian soldiers. Military objectives can coexist with genocidal intentions
Dumbest reply I’ve seen in a while
1) Bosnian Serbs were indeed charged with genocide, not the Serbian government
2) The only reason why only Srebrenica was included was to prevent NATO being held responsible for not intervening earlier in the genocide ongoing for years
@BunkerPm The whole war wasn't considered a genocide, only the massacre at Srebrenica and they were only charged with "failing to prevent" genocide not carrying it out.
