These caring, community-minded folks inspired me to run for Alderman of the 54th ward. I'll always be grateful for the friends made discussing the #Bardof45
@snchalmers79 @iamagenxmom Rahm tried back in 2012-2013. The result was lower fees paid to meter company for times when the parking spaces were out of service (street fests, road work, etc). https://t.co/Z7YMeLnmIy
Are we all just expected to pretend that any discussion of public safety in 2020 or 2021 were part of some collective hallucination caused by social isolation and sour dough off-gassing?
Brandon Johnson, who has been vocal supporting defund the police and redirecting resources to fund other programs, now says this: “I said it was a political goal. I never said it was mine.”
So is Brandon Johnson supporting defund the police or not? Can everyone at least stop pretending that he doesn't have a bunch of orgs behind him that do
@wttw You know why Gardiner is so popular with his voters. He actually communicates and provides great services in his area. Maybe some of the rest of the politicians should take note.
Special shout out to everyone with a stars and bars sticker on their pickup in Jeff Park. I hope the ghost of Tecumseh Sherman marches straight to your front door. Then right through it to the Lake

While you spout your platitudes, I'm busy executing my plan to make this city safer — and it's working. We've hired officers, gotten guns off the streets, and invested in our communities.
You gave a speech. We are not the same.
As the next alderman, I'll make sure to speed up communication with constiuents by hiring a bouncer for the ward office and IP blocking anyone outside the ward from the website. No more drawn out process of proving you're a ward resident before asking a question
