Video of the awkward moment shows John Cox, a Republican candidate challenging California Democratic Gov. Gavin Newsom, being served with a subpoena while onstage during a debate in Sacramento on Tuesday. https://t.co/IUHZQCMNdw
If you missed last night’s debate among some Republicans wanting to replace @GavinNewsom in the recall election, catch up here. Story includes the video making its way across the internet of one candidate being subpoenaed during the debate. https://t.co/uenFBDBulC
"...once the election was over, Cox demanded greater details on the invoices, which the firm provided."
I hope Tag the Bear got paid up front.

@mirandacgreen The weird part is the moderators ignored it. No one asked “Mr Cox can you tell us why you were just served with legal papers”. Incredible.
@JeremyBWhite@BeastJohnCox Is anyone going to ask @BeastJohnCox about the process server.? The debate just drones on. It’s like there is a pink elephant in the room
Per @MelodyGutierrez of the @latimes: #CaliforniaRecall GOP candidate @BeastJohnCox served with a subpoena during a debate in a case related to unpaid political consulting fees from his unsuccessful 2018 gubernatorial bid.
I was surprised that the @CookPolitical had the Nevada Senate seat at "Likely Dem" until recently and switched to "Lean Dem" with news that @AdamLaxalt might get in. Repubs here get that if Laxalt is the nominee, it makes it less likely GOP can win. Dems want him.
Withdrawing troops from Afghanistan is long overdue—but the Biden Admin is disorganized & this execution is an affront to our sacrifices, as a military and as a nation.
Here’s my latest op-ed in @USATODAY
explaining why 👇🏼

Hey @Twitter, I didn’t realize my face was “sensitive content”
Ironic considering I only have 3 tweets & just filed to run for U.S. Senate only hours ago.
Was it my scars or the fact that I salute the flag? Regardless, neither are going away—and neither am I 🇺🇸
Scoop from @LATSeema featured in today's @POLITICO Playbook -- Multimillionaire recall candidate @BeastJohnCox owes consultants from failed gubernatorial bid https://t.co/5qnBMOfYvi
LA Times story today https://t.co/RLRLxMnQES former client @BeastJohnCox stiffed us after his last Gov in CA run. Court ordered pay up. He refuses. We've all faced this. But when clients use our work, clients need to pay. Hope the bear got paid up front. #CApolitics#CApol
SHOCKING: Just like Ben Ray Lujan, Mark Ronchetti attacks and insults @realDonaldTrump
He calls himself a "conservative who used to be a Republican until the orange one" while speaking at a liberal climate change conference just last year!
If true, this is outrageous. #KAG#MAGA
Love him or hate him, @realDonaldTrump is the president. In a time of crisis we should come together, not try to drive political wedges

The day after the debate, Elizabeth Warren bought a full page ad in Sheldon Adelson’s newspaper saying Sheldon Adelson will pay $2.3 billion the first year of her wealth tax. I think that’s called chutzpah.
One of the more curious expenses I found, however, involved a man from Arizona who told the @DMRegister he and his wife moved to Iowa to volunteer for Gabbard's campaign after hearing her speak at an event in Nevada.
First, here's the story...
