@WaterlooA Well what a delightful post, thank-you. We fully intend to be journeying across the wonderful campaign landscapes with our friends in 2022, and I’m always delighted to discuss everyone’s individual Napoleonic interests, what they most want to see and understand, over the phone.
I’ve also since finished all my Duke of Wellington’s Olive Oil … Extra virgin Arbequina … from his estate in Granada, Spain, a gift from a grateful nation. Delicious.
@latelordchatham @tom4141tom@GloverGareth@JustsomeguyJohn I have big plans for this Autumn, one of my two month excursions across Belgium, France, Spain, Portugal and back … it’ll be a great way to check in on friends and how our hotels are doing.
Always a pleasure Tom, and thank-you; it’s our great guests who create such a unique and special atmosphere on each and every journey, and make touring such a wonderful privilege.
@tom4141tom@JustsomeguyJohn@privatecannon@mcribbHistory One seeks no acclaim, it is reward enough and a true privilege to share a passion for Napoleonics with friends who wish to look beyond the history books, to stand where history was made, to learn unique interpretation of the campaign landscapes, and to travel and dine in style.
@mcribbHistory @Rob_Griffith_ @LynnBry29527024 Theory will become reality. Very much hoping we can do it in 2021, but if not we’ll be here in 2022 to share the joys of Peninsular War travel, history and wine across Portugal, Spain & the Pyrenees. Whatever it takes!
@AndrewDigwood1@ZwhiteHistory Yes, highly recommended. But beware, there are many poor and shortened versions. The Andrew Uffindell version is pretty good, combining the original two volumes into one, and adds a little background on his life.
