"The main cause of antisemitism in the world today is the fact that the Israeli state claims to represent all Jews and is committing a genocide in Gaza, in the name of all Jews.
Israel has the Star of David on its tanks and planes whilst it is killing women and children in Gaza, it’s stirring up antisemitism all the time"
The media sold Keir Starmer as 'forensic, decent & capable' PM
He was NEVER any of those, as we made clear yrs ago:
"Starmer is a LIAR in charge of a brutal, authoritarian, inhuman political machine, but you simply wouldn't know about that if you read or watched British media"
It is unbelievable how nonchalantly leaders like @kajakallas and @vonderleyen continue to ignore (and stand against) intl law and the decisions of the highest intl Courts re Israel: among others, I shall remind them, the ICJ ordered Israel to:
- withdraw its troops and remove settlers from the WHOLE OF THE OPT by September 17, 2025 and meahwile
- other states not to recognise, aid and assist Israel in its wrongdoings.
No one can ask Israel to ensure anything other than LEAVING and then responding to justice. It is that simple.
Instead, @kajakallas and @vonderleyen's persistence denote knowledge, intent and purpose, which shall be missed by the relevant authorities when assessing their failure to prevent and stop genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity, and bring to an end the underlying unlawful occupation.
So little, so late, President @vonderleyen :
After you have given Israel 21 months a free pass in Gaza, it will take more than words to prevent Israel from completing its genocidal mission and overt ethnic cleansing campaign. And even more, to repair what's left of the EU credibility.
Please watch this. If you're American or British, you're paying for the mass famine Israel has been imposing and continues to impose on Gaza.
Alex de Waal is a leading famine scholar who has worked on most recent famines. Listen to what he says here about starvation in Gaza:
Looking into what the Economy of Genocide may lead to, if not stopped? Voilà, straight from its masterminds.
Subtitle: When depravity is only second to hubris.
It may often feel like we are back one century, BUT NO. We have a human rights system and often even constitutional rights. Let's use them.
To hold accountable the perpetrators and their accomplices, from gvt officials to businesses and the media industry.
This is already happening, in many countries. I implore ordinary citizens and civil society to sustain these efforts.
Together, we can stop this genocide and we will.
The reason I have been tormented for years, accused of the most absurd falsehoods -including being "a threat to the existence of the state of Israel", the U.S., and even "the global economy" (sic!)- is simple: and it’s all right here👇- Thank you @NimerSultany for the 🧵
My interview with journalist Charlie Jaay at the @TheCanaryUK on UN failures and possibilities in responding to the genocide in Palestine, including the need for the mandating of a protection force under the Uniting for Peace resolution:

Please read, sign, and share widely the Sarajevo Declaration on the genocide in Palestine. It takes only a few seconds to help build the movement for justice in Palestine. It’s up to the people.

This tweet was suppressed, so I am reformulating the NGO’s name to try to get it through the algorithm again:
The Trump administration, continuing its complicity with the Israeli regime in the perpetration of genocide in Palestine, just days after sanctioning judges of the ICC, has now announced sanctions on the celebrated & long-serving Palestinian human rights organization Ad.dam.meer. The US, on behalf of an oppressive foreign regime, is criminalizing humanitarian & human rights work.
“History doesn’t repeat itself, but it often rhymes.” -Mark Twain
Netanyahu and Trump conspiring today on ethnic cleansing and genocide in Palestine, persecution of human rights defenders at home, and war against Iran, Yemen, Lebanon and beyond.
Even as we work to isolate and hold accountable the Israeli regime, we must also find ways to enhance protection on the ground. The mandating by the UNGA of a multinational protection force for Palestine, acting in emergency special session under the enhanced powers of the Uniting for Peace (UFP) resolution, is long overdue. UFP will allow the UN to circumvent the US veto, and an invitation from the State of Palestine will overcome the need for a Chapter VII mandate. The ICJ has already ruled that the Israeli regime’s presence in the Palestinian territory is entirely unlawful, and that Israel can exercise no sovereignty there. Egypt, Jordan and Lebanon should also be pressed to allow the UN to deploy support capacities on their territories. The force should be armed, should be equipped with advanced technologies for monitoring, and should be mandated to exercise both self-defense and civilian defense. Success is not guaranteed. But failure is assured if we do not try.
Secretary-General Guterres delivered a speech at the UN yesterday to commemorate the Rwanda genocide, lamenting the failure of the international community to act then, and “genocide denial” now. Most striking was what he had to say about the genocide in Palestine, occurring now under his watch: Nothing. Not a single word. A silence he has held for 549 days. The SG should know that silence by persons with a responsibility to speak is itself a form of genocide denial.
Mays is one of the children of Gaza I spoke with in 2023 as part of my engagement with Palestinian children for my "Unchilding" report. She has grown so much since then, and the scars she carries are visible.
Fellow Europeans, Italians, Germans: after the Holocaust, we should instinctively know that Genocide starts with dehumanizing the Other.
If Israel's current attack agst Palestinians doesnt prompt our strong reaction, the darkest page of our recent history has taught us nothing.
An article that everyone should read, to remind ourselves of what it means to make sacrifices for the Other. And change the world.

It's not a war - it is a genocide camouflaged by war, with Palestinians - regardless of age, profession, religion - being destroyed "as such", with XXI century means of warfare/extermination. Calling it "a war" just normalises it.
