4) Shovel in shifts. If you need a rest, take a rest, 15 minute breaks can help lessen the load on your heart.
5) Watch for warning signs. Tightness in the chest, lightheadedness and dizziness are all signs of a heart attack. If you suspect you’re having a heart attack, call 911.

Old Man Winter seems to have woken on the wrong side of the bed. Some of you cowboys and cowgirls are chomping at the bit to get outside to shovel. Heavy wet snow is often called “heart attack snow,” Shoveling heavy snow can be more strenuous than running on a treadmill.
