@NickNairn So disappointed with Tarte Tatin recipe at the Kailyard Restaurant. Usually a great experience! The apple was hard. The caramel was solid rather than liquid. The base was more like a pancake rather than a pastry. Not really recognisable as a Tarte Tatin. Sorry.

@lennoncasino @AdrianBethune Well they have a greater chance of taking things in when the room is quiet, the teacher is engaging, the teacher is using recall strategies as opposed to a noisy classroom, with shouting out and swearing, backchat and actual teaching is impossible. I know which class I’d prefer..

@AdrianBethune There will be other lessons in other subjects where the student/teacher can be a bit more playful. But this lesson here, the message is clear. Let’s all pay attention and learn.

@AdrianBethune But this guy has such a great teaching manner that the kids are all engaged. The ‘joy’ is exactly that. They are all focused. They are taking it all in. If they were not engaging, we would see some disruption from the students. There isn’t any.
